Booking Information

Arrival and Departure: The Mill will be available from 4pm on the arrival day and must be vacated by 2pm on the day of departure.

First Aid Person: There should be a qualified first aid person with your group.

Disabled Unit: This is a separate unit and must be booked prior to arrival. Please indicate the carer's name so we can arrange a briefing. Despite having a disabled bedroom and bathroom, there is limited access to some other areas of the Mill, please contact the office for details.

Payment: Unfortunately we are unable to accept credit/debit cards or cash. Payment is by cheque only and should be made payable to Ormside Mill Residential Centre Ltd.

Activities: Should be discussed and agreed with the Development Manager at the time of booking.

Conditions of Use

Booking: A provisional booking will be held for 14 days without written confirmation. Once confirmed the signed booking form and non-returnable deposit must be received at the registered office within 4 weeks of receipt.

Numbers per group: Tariff charges are based on a maximum of SIXTEEN per group, this must not be exceeded. For safety and comfort the accommodation is booked for your exclusive use.

Confirmation: On receipt of your completed booking form with a £100 non-refundable deposit, an information pack will be sent to you, along with an invoice for the balance of payment, due a minimum of 28 days before your booked period.

Prices: Prices do not include costs for laundry, gas and electricity, which will be invoiced from your meter readings after your visit. We reserve the right to alter the prices at any time, however, once a booking has been made, we guarantee to honour the price quoted on the booking form (except for laundry, gas and electricity when the external agency may increase the price). If the disabled unit is used for other than a disabled person, and carer, an extra £20 will be invoiced to cover cleaning.

Cancellations: Any cancellation of booking must be in writing and will take effect from the day of receipt. Any cancellation received within 28 days of booking will be charged in full and within 2 months will be charged at 50%.

Ormside Mill Residential Centre Ltd reserves the right to cancel any booking for operational reasons. The customer will be informed of this without delay and will be offered a choice of another date or full refund of all monies paid.

Safety and Behaviour: You are responsible for the behaviour and conduct of your group whilst at the centre. Groups must be adequately supervised at all times. Our Health & Safety procedures are there to protect everyone as well as comply with the law. Your group is required to follow safe procedures to ensure that any group comes to no harm. We reserve the right to ask any participant to leave without refund in the case of misbehaviour.

Insurance: Ormside Mill Residential Centre Ltd does not accept any liability for personal injury to or the death of any participants, or for the loss or damage to property brought to the centre. The Centre carries full public and legal liability insurance for such circumstances. However, clients are advised to ensure that they are covered by insurance for personal accident, public liability or loss or damage to personal property.

Complaints: If anyone has cause for dissatisfaction then this should be made known to the Development Manager. If this is not dealt with satisfactorily then the Company Secretary, should be contacted on 01524 65106 in order that action can be taken to rectify the situation as soon as possible.

Damage/Breakages: Any damage/breakage incurred during your stay will be charged to your group, and will include an administration cost. This accommodation is offered as a self–catering unit and will be handed over to you in a clean condition, and we would expect to receive it back at the end of your stay in a similar condition.
